About

My name is Mark Taylor I have always been a creative person. I started drawing around age four, and spent most of my evenings after school drawing images from comics and newspapers.

I continued drawing throughout high school and in general, taught myself the rudimentary basics in graphics design.  In pursuit of further development as an artist, I started the Graphic Design program at the Fort Lauderdale Arts Institute where I received formal training in design components that included composition, aesthetics, form, function and typography.  My training primarily involved the use of the latest design software applications in the Adobe  Creative Suite ( Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.).  I am passionate about my craft and as such, am very proactive in experimenting with various software that enhance my skill set.  I took the initiative to learn the basics in 3D and Web Design to keep pace with the ever-changing dynamics of the graphic design industry.

I started my formal career in graphics design at EAC Consulting, Inc., an engineering company in South Florida, where I was an integral part of the Business Development department.  I learned how to work in a challenging corporate environment where frequent collaboration with senior managers as well as teamwork, creativity, productivity and efficiency, were essential to my success on every assignment.  I presently work for Sharp Business Systems, a division of Sharp Electronics that sells multifunction printers and copiers. At Sharp, I continue to hone my expertise in graphics design and have also developed a strength for creating ad campaigns that drive business to targeted sales promotions.  My experience and training have equipped me with the keen ability to understand the message that needs to be relayed to a targeted audience and to visually communicate that message through art.

I am also co-founder of:

Creative Designs serves as a showcase of my work, and a place where I can give back to the design community by providing inspiration and great tutorials for Photoshop, Illustrator and other tools.
